PSYchology

If suddenly at some stage in your life you begin to notice that something is wrong with the concentration of attention, something happens with the flexibility of thinking (new interesting options do not come), there is no associativity (everything crashes out of my head, I forget, I don’t use my past experience), something happens at the speed of thinking (I began to think worse, I’m constantly stupid), then perhaps some psychopharmacological drugs can help you. First of all, these are:

  • nootropics that affect the metabolism of brain cells
  • vascular drugs that improve blood circulation and nutrition of the brain,
  • neuropeptides acting directly on the cortex.

Separately, it is worth considering that the cause of poor head functioning may not be the very quality of mental activity, but anxiety, restlessness and irritability. See more about this →

When, who and what not to

According to the World Health Organization, one third of the population in Europe and Japan uses these drugs to increase mental alertness. But this does not exclude a healthy lifestyle, exercise, quality sleep and normal nutrition. Life presents us with new requirements, we must be active at work, be more creative, so people use these drugs.

This does not mean that drugs should be taken all the time. A person himself evaluates how he thinks now, whether he is stupid, how quickly interesting solutions come to mind, how concentrated he is, how long he can sit on writing an article, working with a computer and what is postponed after work [neuropeptides neuropeptides] with information, and if he decides that he is working unproductively, then he has washed away to use nootropics.

Please note that when taking drugs of the nootropic group (nootropil, piracetam, aminalon, fenotropil) there may be side effects: increased excitability, aggressiveness, mild headache. Be careful with the dose.

Other features

In addition to psychopharmacological drugs, if there are many other possibilities to ensure that your head always works in the best possible way.

As an additional recommendation when you feel unproductive work, prof. N.I. Kozlov suggests doing facial gymnastics, which helps to improve the quality of mental activity, and I.O. Vagin — hold your breath (at least 30 seconds, but 3 repetitions) or inverted asanas (with caution, preferably after consulting an ophthalmologist, as there are cases of retinal detachment).
