La Algusto Fair has evolved to this new concept of gastronomic event, which after 4 years maintains the pillars of quality, sustainable production, artisan origin, now seeking to also respond to new consumers and new trends in food.
The initial proposal of the contest, inspired by the Slow Food movement, now also wants to reach professional buyers, highlighting the value of the product and bringing it closer to all lovers of quality and culinary preparation.
The exhibition revolves around the two aspects of the product, the exhibitors and the visitors, seeing in each of them the reasons that encourage them to participate in it and with a Reverse Mission, where state and French buyers of gourmet channels, specialized stores, hotels and the Horeca channel will be able to know and acquire the latest news of the productive activity that is offered in the sample.
The exhibition of the products with direct sale of the same will be set as if it were a town within the pavilion where the sample takes place, and will bring the visitor closer to the handmade products of different denominations of origin, biological products y craft products and traditional Basque folklore.
The place chosen for the occasion is the Bilbao Exhibition Center, which is decorated to host the gastronomic event from February 12 to 14, where professional visitors and the general public will be well received to accompany the organizers and exhibitors in the activities scheduled for the Gustoko Fair.
What can we see and taste at Gustoko?
This new initiative, more ambitious and above all current, describes a new way of understanding the origin of products and thus being able to adapt them to the new forms of consumption in today’s society, as well as the demands of professionals in the restaurant and catering sector. the hospitality industry.
The program of activities is really varied and below we highlight the most unique spaces that will envelop the visitor in a new fair experience.
