Quail eggs are not accidentally used in many dishes and are eaten in large quantities by supporters of a healthy diet. They are rich in vitamins and useful trace elements necessary for the human body. And at the same time they look much more interesting than the usual chicken eggs.
Quail eggs can be used in almost all dishes that require eggs, as they can easily replace chicken eggs. But the quail will need twice as much. You can make delicious scrambled eggs or scrambled eggs, sandwiches, salads from them. They can also be used for homemade mayonnaise or as a pie filling.

How much to cook quail eggs
Since the size of quail eggs is much smaller than chicken eggs, they also need to be boiled for a shorter time. Thus, to cook soft-boiled quail eggs, you need to throw them into boiling water and leave for 2 minutes. And to get hard-boiled eggs, you need to hold them in boiling water for about 5 minutes.
Quail eggs and ham omelet
Ingredients: – 12 quail eggs; – 200 ml of milk; – 3 feathers of green onions; – 60 g of ham; – salt to taste.
Cut the ham into thin strips and fry in vegetable oil. Beat eggs with milk, salt and pour into a frying pan. Curl over low heat, then place on bowls and sprinkle with green onions.
You can also add red bell peppers and mushrooms to the omelet.
Quail egg mayonnaise recipe
Ingredients: – 7 quail eggs; – 1 teaspoon of salt; – 1 teaspoon of sugar; – 150 ml of vegetable oil; – ½ teaspoon of a mixture of peppers; – 25 ml of lemon juice; – 1 teaspoon of mustard.
Break the quail eggs into a deep plate, add mustard, pepper mixture, sugar and salt to them. Whisk in a blender until smooth. Then gradually add the vegetable oil, whisking the mixture each time to make it lighter and thicker. At the end, pour in the lemon juice, whisk again and put the finished mayonnaise in a jar.
Summer salad with quail eggs
Ingredients: – 4 quail eggs; – 1 apple; – 4 cups of arugula; – 4 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil; – coarsely ground black pepper; – 1 teaspoon of lemon juice; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of honey; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of wine vinegar; – 60 g bacon; – salt.
Put the eggs in boiling water and boil hard boiled for 5 minutes. Pour cold water over, cool, peel and cut in half. Cut the bacon into thin slices, fry in vegetable oil and place on a paper napkin. Prepare the dressing by mixing olive oil, lemon juice, honey, wine vinegar, salt and pepper in a separate container. Place arugula, bacon, quail eggs, peeled and cut apples on flat plates. Pour the prepared dressing over the salad and serve.
