Contraindications to the use of the antiparasitic drug Pyrantelum Medana are:

1. allergy to any of the ingredients of the preparation – the active substance (pyrantel) or any of the excipients;
2. medical therapy for myasthenia gravis;
3. taking piperazine.

It must also not be given to patients during the treatment of myasthenia gravis (a disease of the skeletal muscles). Dosage of Pyrantelum Medana in children from 2 years of age and adults depends on the body weight. The course of treatment includes administration two doses of the preparation at an appropriate time interval – wait 2 or 3 weeks after the first dose, then take the second dose.
