Putin: foreign countries have adopted our strategy to combat COVID-19

On May 6, Vladimir Putin met with the government. It was dedicated to the fight against the coronavirus, the pandemic of which has become one of the main problems in almost the entire world.

During the meeting, the president said that Mikhail Mishustin, who was sick with COVID-19, is already on the mend. The fact that the Prime Minister had contracted a coronavirus infection became known at the end of April.

Also, Vladimir Putin listened to the reports of politicians on the situation in the country and how the mechanisms to support the population work at this difficult time for everyone. Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted that the number of “severe” patients with coronavirus has not increased for 2 weeks.

According to the mayor of Moscow, this gives grounds to speak of a certain stabilization of the situation. However, Sobyanin believes that it is too early to cancel the self-isolation regime in Moscow. But after May 12, industrial and construction enterprises may start operating in the capital.

Vladimir Vladimirovich believes that the strategy chosen by Russia to combat the coronavirus was correct. In any case, other countries have also adopted it.

“Practice has shown that we did absolutely the right thing, moreover, many foreign countries also followed our path, we see it, and it’s good if they also succeed,” RIA Novosti quotes Putin.

Recall, as of May 6, a total of 165 coronavirus cases were detected in the country. The number of infected people in the world exceeds 929 million. The leader in the number of patients with COVID-3,6 is the United States.
