He’s not even purebred – a funny mix of chihuahua and dachshund. But he has over 2 million subscribers!
This dog named Tuna is already nine years old. From birth, he did not have a single chance of a happy life: he was born from an accidental union of a Chihuahua and a dachshund and was abandoned somewhere on the side of a country road near San Diego. But then he was lucky: some kind soul picked him up and brought him to the farmers’ fair. From that moment on, Tuna began a completely different life.
A girl came to the fair who simply fell in love with this puppy.
“I felt that he was special, not only because of the way he looked. This unfortunate little creature is a real person, says Courtney Dasher, owner of Tuna. “He was so tiny, so unhappy. Even the teeth have not yet erupted properly. The owner dressed him in a huge sweater, but the dog still looked frozen. ”
In general, instead of organic vegetables, Courtney took away from the fair a ridiculous dog, which it was impossible to look at without tears and laughter. Some kind of too short lower jaw, a catastrophically wrong bite – the upper teeth protrude far forward, some kind of piglet. But the girl could not even imagine that the puppy would turn her life upside down. Courtney started an Instagram page for Tuna, and now more than 2 million people have subscribed to it.
Portraits of Tuna can be found anywhere: he is the hero of memes and numerous photojacks, and the decoration of T-shirts, mugs and God knows what else. Now Courtney has a whole business empire, which the doggie gave her. Nice gratitude for the adoption, right? At Courtney’s wedding, the puppy was a bridesmaid, and for her daughter, little Grace, Tuna became the best friend from birth.
And, of course, Tuna is committed to keeping as few pets as possible in shelters. After all, this is a really good idea – to give a house to a living creature that has not yet been needed. And after that, not only the life of the pet will radically change – it is possible that yours too.
