Making Pumpkin Syrup
Ingredients
Water – 250 ml
Dry ginger – 1,5 tbsp. l.
Ground coriander – 0,5 tsp.
Ground cinnamon – 1,5 tbsp. l.
Ground nutmeg – 1,5 tbsp. l.
Sugars – 200 g
Fresh pumpkin – 350 g
Method of preparation
Peel the pumpkin and cut into small pieces.
Combine pumpkin and water in a saucepan. Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat until tender. This takes approximately 10-12 minutes (depending on the type of pumpkin).
Grind the pumpkin along with the broth to a puree state with a blender or pusher.
Add sugar and spices.
Bring to a boil and simmer over low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
Cool the pumpkin syrup and pour into jars, close the lids. Send to refrigerator.
