How to prepare a dish “Pumpkin porridge with couscous»
1. Cut the pumpkin pulp into small pieces, put it in a saucepan, in which the porridge will then be cooked, cover with sugar and leave for 2-3 hours (the cooking time is indicated without taking this time into account). The pumpkin will give juice during this time. If there is not much juice, add enough drinking water before cooking so that the pumpkin is covered with water.
2. Bring the pumpkin and juice to a boil and cook until the pumpkin is soft, about 20-25 minutes.
If a lot of water has boiled away, then at the end add water so that it covers the pumpkin for 1.5-2 cm.
3. Pour the couscous into the hot boiled pumpkin with water, add salt, mix and remove from the heat. Cover the pan with a lid, you can wrap it up and leave it for 10-15 minutes.
