Puffy eyes are a sign of fatigue, poor diet, too much alcohol or stress. It is worth remembering in such situations about proven and reliable home tricks that will save our appearance.
Milk. Few people know that cold milk has vasoconstrictor properties and removes swelling. In addition, the fat contained in milk soothes skin irritations and perfectly moisturizes the skin.
Pour the chilled milk into a bowl and dip two cotton pads in it. We squeeze them and put them on the eyelids. Once warm, dip them in the cold milk again. Repeat the operation for 15 minutes.
eggs. Egg white has astringent properties, cleanses and smoothes the skin.
To make an egg mask, you need to beat two egg whites. Apply a stiff foam to the skin under the eyes. After 15 minutes, wash off the dried protein thoroughly with water.
Chamomile, green and black tea. Chamomile is a natural anti-inflammatory – it soothes irritations and helps soothe redness and swelling around the eyes. Green and black tea have antibacterial, astringent properties, tighten the skin, reduce swelling.
Place two bags of chamomile or green or black tea in freshly boiled water for about 3 minutes. Then we take them out of the water, put them in the fridge for a few minutes and wait until they cool down. Then we put the bags on the eyelids and hold for 15 minutes.
Spoons. A compress with cold metal spoons reduces swelling and removes redness.
Place four metal spoons in a glass of ice water. After cooling, we put two on the eyelids and another two under the eyes. We change them when they become warm and immerse them in water again. Repeat the process until the swelling disappears.
Cucumber. Fresh cucumbers remove swelling, eliminate puffiness, dark circles under the eyes, have an astringent effect, smooth and refresh the skin.
Place two chilled cucumber slices over your eyes. We relax and hold them for 10-15 minutes. After this time, remove the slices and wash your face with cold water.
Eye creams and massage. The best ones are those based on rosemary or mint, because they allow you to eliminate swelling. It is good to start applying the cream by massaging the skin around the eyes. We start from the inner part of the eyebrow and move in a circular motion around the eyeball to the tear duct. Massage should be done gently, preferably with the ring fingers for about 5 minutes each morning. Massage will stimulate blood circulation in this area and will significantly reduce swelling.
Masking makeup. If the effects are still not satisfactory, you can apply a simple make-up to cover up the problem. Along the lower lash line, make a line with a white crayon, which will add light to the eyes. You should give up drawing a black eyeliner on the lower and upper eyelids at the same time. Let’s also focus on lengthening the eyelashes – they will distract attention from the shortcomings around the eyes. You should also take care of emphasizing the eyebrows, which will give the eyes expressiveness.
