Today, the most traditional type of training is motivational training.
Motivational training you will learn without difficulty. There are a lot of people here, the host is usually on the illuminated stage, music sounds. The host (or several successive hosts) throw beautiful thoughts to people sitting in the hall, create vivid impressions for them, make them shout “Wow! We like it!”, raise your hands, etc. — get emotionally involved. Do the participants study here — no, training requires a different, more leisurely and thoughtful format. Are people smart here? Probably not. A simpler work is going on here: instead of some, not very adequate beliefs and views, people have been inserted more adequate ones. People did not turn on their brains, the hosts simply replaced their one thoughtless program with another thoughtless one. If it can be said that people have become wiser, then it is not they who have become wiser, but they have become wiser. Unfortunately, they have not yet learned to think independently. But at the same time, people are happy, they got fun — bright pleasures, impressions, and their quality of life has improved. It’s a paradox: in terms of their ability to think, they have become stupid, but in life they behave successfully, and everyone is in a great mood.
These are the highest grossing trainings to date!
But it’s not Sinton.
Sinton does not object to such trainings, they have their own audience, but Sinton’s trainings are different. Most of Sinton’s trainings are educational. And even when motivational trainings take place in Sinton, they are still different: they teach you to think and encourage you to learn. Yes, the host here also motivates, but at the same time he also teaches, gives algorithms and discusses options. The facilitator thinks together with the participants — and makes them think. The facilitator does not separate himself from the audience with a stage, there are fewer participants and the training is more thoughtful: participants can ask questions and think with the facilitator. We give them a list of things that need to be mastered, we suggest in what form it is better for them to work. Then we collect them in groups, equipping the situation so that it is easier for them to work. And we suggest that there is a Distance, and if they go there, they will master it.
Note that there is no actual training at such a training (or there is not much of it), but here everything is done to ensure that people meaningfully switch to training. This is an intermediate form between motivational and educational training, it is motivational and educational training.
The main trainings of Sinton, I repeat, are trainings. This training is not just enthusiasm and cries, life’s problems are posed here, solutions are shown, their features, pros and cons are discussed — and, most importantly, training takes place right there. Training in pairs, in triplets, in groups. Discussion of what happened, analysis of difficulties — and again training. Here people learn to think and learn to act successfully.
There are no screams, there is a third option, when right at the training we both motivated and arranged training. We have people meeting, and training, and working out cases. This training is educational, without shouting. But here people think, reflect, try on and train.
As a training approach and a set of psychological techniques:
- Synthon — does not heal, but teaches. Sinton is not only a direction in practical psychology, but also social pedagogy and enlightenment. Synton gives useful knowledge and skills for life.
- Syntone focuses on creating a warm and developing environment, when changes in personality occur not only due to specific techniques, but because of the warm, soulful, lively and demanding atmosphere surrounding a person (Close — Violet, a strong difference from NLP and traditional business trainings)
- Sinton believes in a person, in the strength of his mind, in the ability to take a hit and develop in an environment of strict requirements. (An interesting difference from humanistic psychology, which also believes in a person, and a difference from psychoanalysis, which does not have faith in a person. See Faith in a person and the directions of practical psychology).
- Sinton works on support and positive, gradually increasing the level of demands on the participants of the training. Rigid trainings are rare, conducted only with trained and warned participants. (Radically different from Lifespring).
- The synthon is rationalistic. Calculation of the cost of the result, calculated thinking. Efficiency along with Good Moral Standards. In Sinton they don’t call “Turn off your head!” On the contrary, they teach you to turn on your head. Sinton does not create trainings where everyone is crying. (Different from Violet and Gestalt).
- Synton differs in language and terminology, close to life and understandable to a non-specialist.
- The synthon is instrumental, aimed at the formation of skills useful for life, technological. (More technologically only NLP).
- Sinton has a free atmosphere, but swearing is excluded. (Different from Violet, Lifespring, Gestalt).
- Synthon does not use involvement, does not encourage participants to bring their friends and relatives to Synthon trainings (Different from Violet and Lifespring).
