Pseudo-lymphocytic hyperplasia – what it is, causes

Syn .: Hyperplasia pseudoepitheliomatosa, pseudo-neoplastic hyperplasia.

Def .: Significant irregular epidermal hyperplasia mimicking squamous cell carcinoma. It is sometimes the result of an infection (e.g. fungal infection – as in chromomycosis) or skin tumors (e.g. granular cell carcinoma).
