Today, the problem of menstrual disorders and unusual uterine bleeding affects almost one in six Polish women aged 16 to 40. There are many reasons for this. An unhealthy lifestyle, the abuse of coffee, alcohol, other stimulants and, above all, a stressful lifestyle cause the hormonal balance to be disturbed. This, in turn, makes it difficult for women to get pregnant or difficult to read their own body signals. Provera is a drug that aims to regulate the menstrual cycle.
Provera – application
First of all, the purpose of the drug provera jest restoration of the proper menstrual cycle. It is also used in the case of uterine gland hyperplasia and when – instead of a period – there are unusual uterine bleeding, which is not gynecological but hormonal. The drug is also often prescribed to women who are struggling with the problem of a polyp on the reproductive organs. It has the greatest influence on the effectiveness of the drug time of its reception. It should be taken exactly from the first day of the cycle, without stopping the treatment.

The main component of the drug there is medroxyprogesterone, which is responsible for stopping ovulation. The drug is available in tablets to be swallowed. The active agent contained in it reduces the level of testosterone in the blood and the level of estrogens. The drug is very quickly absorbed into the digestive system, and the highest concentration is reached up to four hours after taking the dose. Dosage is different depending on the problem. In case of amenorrhea, it is recommended to take a dose of 5-10 mg a day over a period of five to a maximum of ten days, similar to non-menstrual bleeding. In the case of an enlarged uterine gland, the same dose is taken for 90 days.
