Provag is a dietary supplement that provides three strains of live lactic acid bacteria. The preparation is in the form of oral capsules and is recommended for use as a probiotic strengthening the vaginal flora. The use of the Provag probiotic is recommended in the case of antibiotic therapy, contraception, and recurrent intimate problems.
Provag – the action of the probiotic
Provag belongs to probiotics, i.e. preparations containing live bacterial cultures needed to maintain the balance of natural microflora. In the case of the Provag dietary supplement in oral capsules, we can find three strains of live, freeze-dried lactobacilli of the genus Lactobacillus.
Provag is recommended for use as oral gynecological probiotic. Lactic acid bacteria delivered in capsules move from the gastrointestinal tract to the area of the urogenital system, rebuilding the bacterial flora of the vagina.
The natural vaginal microflora may be weakened by the use of contraceptives or antibiotics. The population of good bacteria also decreases under the influence of other external factors (e.g. tampons, frequent vaginal irrigations, sexual contacts, going to the swimming pool), as well as stress, menstruation, pregnancy and menopause.
