MZ spokesman: a serious problem between the rescuers and the employer
The conflict concerns the rate offered to the rescuers. In a letter to the Marshal of the Masovian Voivodeship, Adam Struzik, paramedics asked for dismissal from the function of, inter alia, director of the Provincial Ambulance and Sanitary Transport Station “Meditrans” SP ZOZ in Warsaw, as well as deputy for technical matters.
In the letter that she got acquainted with PAP, it was assessed, inter alia, that the essence of the conflict between the rescuers and the management is the lack of any dialogue.
Lifeguards say that the director of Meditrans offered them a lower hourly rate than the one agreed in the agreement, ie PLN 40 with the travel allowance included. In other stations – as they emphasize – after the allowance granted, the hourly rate is close to PLN 60. Some ambulance teams did not work on the weekend – according to PAP, more than 20 teams did not leave on Saturday, and 30 on Sunday.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Health, asked on Monday about the situation in the capital and health safety of its inhabitants, replied that “indeed in Warsaw’s Meditrans there is a serious problem between the rescuer and the employer”.
This problem – as he said – “probably cannot be solved without the participation of the ministry and the decisive intervention of the voivodship marshal who owns the Meditrans”.
MZ spokesman: we need to defuse the problem quickly
– The source of this dispute seems to be inadequate remuneration for rescuers after the 30% award granted by the Ministry of Health. the travel allowance, which was established in consultation with the rescuers’ protest committee, was provided by the spokesman of the Ministry of Health.
