The active substance is Prostamol Uno saw palmetto fruit extract Serenoa repens (Bartram) Small Sabal serrulata (Michaux) Nichols (Saw palmetto fruit). One capsule of the drug contains 320 mg of this extract. The auxiliary substances that build the drug shell are gelatin, glycerol, purified water, titanium dioxide (E 171), yellow iron oxide (E 172), black iron oxide (E 172), carmine (E120), medium-chain triglycerides.

The main ingredient in Prostamol Uno is saw palmetto fruit extract, also known as saw palmetto or Serenoa repens. This plant is found in the United States, Central, North and South America, and the west of India.

The medicinal properties of the plant are shown mainly by the purple-black fruit growing in clusters, which are partially dried and form the basis of the extracts.

The active ingredient of Prostamol Uno is primarily a source of phytosterols, fatty acids, polysaccharides, lectin and fatty oil.

The first mentions of the use of the saw palmetto for medical purposes date back to the beginning of the XNUMXth century. This plant was used by the Florida Indians as a medicine for prostate hypertrophy, swelling and atrophy of the testicles, as well as a treatment for erectile dysfunction.

The saw palmetto was officially introduced to the market in 1926, and a quarter of a century later it was withdrawn due to the lack of confirmation of its medicinal properties. Research on its properties was resumed in the 80s.

The conducted research confirmed that its fruit extract reduces the activity of 5-α-reductase, an enzyme that converts testosterone into 5-alpha-dihydrotestosterone (DHT).

2. urination disorders with benign prostatic hyperplasia;
3. retention of urine with symptoms of cystitis;
4. relieving symptoms such as: weak urine stream, urgency to urinate, pollakiuria, frequent urination at night.

Before using Prostamol Uno, consult a doctor or pharmacist, especially in the event of the presence of blood in the urine, continuous leakage of urine due to overfilling the bladder or in the event of a painful urge to urinate with sudden inability to urinate.
