Prospan – action

Prospan comes in the form of drops or syrup for oral use. The producer of Prospan is Salveo. The active substance in Prospan is ivy extract. It dilutes the thick mucus in the respiratory tract. Prospan is used to relieve inflammation associated with coughing.

Prospan is available at a pharmacy without a prescription. The content of ivy extract varies depending on the form of Prospan. In pharmacies you can get:

  2. Prospan oral drops 20 mg/ml;

The drug in the form of drops and syrup thin the mucus and reduce its viscosity, and additionally relax the bronchi. However, when using lozenges, the expectorant reflex is the result of irritation of the gastrointestinal mucosa and stimulation of the bronchial mucosa. Prospan in the form of drops is worth using as an auxiliary in the treatment of chronic inflammation of the respiratory tract accompanied by coughing.
