Pros and cons of the cabbage diet

Let’s start with the good

With the help of this diet, you can lose weight by 3-5 kilograms per week – at least calories. You can eat soup as many times as you want during the day (when you feel hungry), adding fruits and rice, cranberry juice and even lean meat in limited quantities to your diet. You won’t have to starve. Cooking soup is easy, once every two to three days. All ingredients are extremely healthy vegetables. For cooking, you can use any cabbage: white cabbage, red cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower – whatever you like.

Be careful!

A number of recipes for such a soup float on the Internet. Read them carefully: those that contain canned foods, and therefore preservatives, are not suitable.

Actually the recipe:

What you need: cabbage – 0,5 head of cabbage, red or green bell peppers without seeds – 1 pc., carrots – 3 pcs., onions – 1 head, tomatoes – 1 pc, half a celery tuber, green onions, black ground pepper, water – 2,5 , 3-50 l brown rice – XNUMX g

 

What to do: Put finely chopped vegetables in a saucepan, pour over with cold water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover and simmer until vegetables are tender. You can store such a soup for two to three days in the refrigerator. It is better to eat it without salt, but if this is difficult for you, add a little soy sauce. The set of vegetables can be changed and even pre-boiled rice can be added to the soup, and in addition to pepper, and other spices (dill, parsley, coriander, garlic). Green onions and soy sauce can be added directly to the plate. So, soup is eaten instead of the first and second courses for seven days. For the duration of the diet, bread, carbonated drinks and alcohol are excluded from the diet.

Additives: Day 1: fruits (except bananas) Day 2: any other vegetables, including baked potatoes with butter for lunch (potatoes are prohibited on other days!) Day 3: any fruits and vegetables Day 4: fruits (you can eat bananas, but no more than six pieces) and skim milk Day 5: six tomatoes and no more than 450 g of lean meat or fish Day 6: beef and vegetables Day 7: brown rice, fruit juice (freshly squeezed), vegetables

The diet is unbalanced, healthy people are advised to sit on soup uncontrollably for no more than a week! The weight that is lost in a week is quickly gained afterwards. In addition, not every intestine will survive a week of sitting on cabbage. This diet has not received official approval from nutritionists, but some use it in their practice.
