The first place in my ranking of prohibited foods is wheat. Modern wheat is obtained by crossing valuable varieties with cereals that are very different in characteristics from the wheat used by our ancestors. The wheat we eat today contains branched glucose residues called amylopectin. This component is a polysaccharide, it is the worst absorbed by the body and increases blood sugar levels. Thus, wheat becomes one of the main reasons for the development of diabetes mellitus and insulin resistance. Both white bread and whole grain breads have an increased glycemic index, an indicator that affects blood sugar levels. Thus, bread, which contains wheat, is considered far from a useful product.

In addition, wheat contains gluten, which is the main source of inflammation in the intestines. From here come bloating, lesions, bacterial growth syndrome and irritable bowel syndrome. An upset digestive system, in turn, affects the health and appearance of the skin.

During digestion, wheat releases morphine-like compounds that affect the human brain. By the way, cheese has the same effect. These compounds bind to opiate receptors in the brain, resulting in mild euphoria. When he stops using these food products, he begins to experience withdrawal and a strong feeling of hunger.

Fried foods and refined oils are in second place in our ranking. I recommend minimizing purchases of ready-made food and going to restaurants, as often in fast food establishments they use cheap refined oil for cooking. It has a negative effect on the walls of blood vessels, resulting in the formation of sclerotic plaques (cholesterol deposits). Also, refined oil contains a huge amount of omega-6 unsaturated fatty acids, which destroy the immune system and cause inflammation.

The third place of harmful products is occupied by trans fats – this is all industrial baked goods that are sold in stores (buns, cookies, cakes, etc.). All of them partially contain hydrogenated, modified fats, the use of which leads to loss of skin elasticity, vascular network and rashes. Regular diet of trans fats contributes to the accumulation of toxins in the body and leads to many diseases. Also, trans fats cause inflammation and greatly reduce immunity.

Always look at the label of the product you choose in the store. The composition should not contain any deodorized, modified, rapeseed and palm oils. Manufacturers do their best to hide the names of harmful components or change their names. And in many restaurants, it is often cooked with pork fat to enhance the flavor. Therefore, try to eat more homemade food, take to work food that you cooked yourself. Any commercial prepared food will contain trans fats.  

The fourth place is salt. Any kind of salt is the strongest acidifier and preservative, because of its use, not only puffiness occurs on the face, but also on all organs. In addition, salt pollutes our vessels with inorganic metals, since this product consists of only 5% sodium and 95% of inorganic impurities that are not absorbed or processed by our body. Salt is a flavor enhancer and it becomes a habit to consume it. For those who want to get rid of sugar addiction, first of all, I recommend eliminating salt from their diet, since without it food products acquire a completely different taste. If you can live without salt, you can give up sugar. You will discover new facets of delicious and healthy food. When you stop using salt, you start to get more pleasure from the taste of vegetables and fruits.
