Products that provoke edema

If swelling is found on the body in the morning after waking up, you should remember what was eaten the evening before. Most often, provocateurs products give the effect of puffiness of the face and swelling of the limbs. Even seemingly harmless foods are able to retain water in the body and provoke the appearance of edema.

Fast food

Eating fast food in the evening is a sure way to wake up with puffiness and bags under your eyes. Hamburger or French fries are high in salt, which retains water in the body.

Semi-finished goods

Sausages, sausages and other convenience foods also contain record amounts of salt, as well as unhealthy food additives that negatively affect the stomach and intestines. It is better to prefer boiled lean meat or white fish baked in the oven to semi-finished products.

Preservation

All canned salted and pickled foods are a source of high amounts of salt or sugar. After their use, the body receives an increased load either on the kidneys or on the pancreas. This causes swelling, puffiness of the face, expansion of the vascular network, dehydration of the skin and loss of its tone.

Gas-forming products

Gas formation is another cause of edema. And these are not only carbonated drinks, but also vegetables such as broccoli, Brussels sprouts, corn, cabbage, eggplant, garlic, onions, radishes. These healthy foods are best consumed in the morning.

Confection

Evening teas with delicious sweets and cakes are not only a threat to your slim figure. They are also provocateurs of edema. The combination of fat and sugar promotes the accumulation of fluid in the body, because fat needs water to process sugar.

Alcohol

Alcohol causes an incorrect redistribution of fluid in the body: alcohol molecules from the bloodstream penetrate the cell membranes into soft tissues, while each alcohol molecule pulls several water molecules with it. Thus, water accumulates in the tissues.
