The same difficulty can be seen as a Problem and as a Task. One client, in case of difficulty, will go to a psychologist, the other to a psychotherapist. What does it depend on? It depends on three things:
- Man: his habits, mind and strength.
The same difficult situation for a person in the position of the Victim will be a problem, and for a person in the position of the Author — a creative task↑. Accordingly, the first one will come for help to psychotherapy, and the second one can turn to a specialist for psychological counseling. If the client is alert, reasonable and active, when he is in the position of the Author, he does not need help (and psychotherapy). Psychotherapy is in demand when a person in the position of the Victim cannot cope with the difficulties that have arisen and needs help. For example, a person wants to change, but he does not have the strength to do so↑. The weaker the person, the more often he needs psychotherapy. For men, admitting a problem is a shame, for women it is natural. Women love to be treated, men avoid it to the last opportunity.
- The severity of life’s difficulties.
The more difficult the situation, the weaker the person in front of it. When a person is overwhelmed by mental pain and does not go away, no matter how you drive it, not every person has the strength to deal with it actively and constructively day after day. If a person is depressed, it is difficult to be in the position of the Author, everything becomes a problem for him. If a woman has psychosomatics, she usually feels some helplessness, because it is really not clear what to do. She has a problem. Working with states and psychosomatics are areas where psychotherapy is traditionally in demand.
- The environment of a person and the position of a specialist.
A specialist, a psychologist or a psychotherapist, can turn both a sick person into a healthy person and a healthy person into a sick person. If a psychotherapist is ready to see a sick person in any healthy person and has the gift of suggestion, people with problems will appear around him. See →
