Prints and decor depicting animals in the interior: photo

We will tell you how to correctly introduce the appropriate decor into the interior so as not to turn your house into a hunter’s dwelling or, even worse, into a zoological museum.

Decorating your home with skins and animal figurines, symbolizing strength and power, began in ancient times. Our ancestors believed that in this way they seemed to protect the house from ill-wishers and misfortunes. By the way, nowadays interior designers also quite often use fur, natural materials, animal prints, figurines, paintings and textiles depicting our smaller brothers in their works. But they unanimously say that it is not worth using such accessories in large quantities (even if your apartment is decorated in African or ethnic style), otherwise it is likely that instead of a fashionable interior, you will get something that resembles an aboriginal refuge.

To add character to your home and fill it with fashionable ideas, it is enough to purchase something with the image of animals (from art and decorative items to appropriate textiles with animal prints). If hanging on the wall, say, a predator in a three-dimensional form is not yet included in your plans, you can take a closer look at unusual paintings (on canvas, on boards or posters), book holders in the form of animals, various figurines, candlesticks, curtain holders or an original coffee table, made in the form of an elephant or even a hippopotamus. Why not? The main thing is that the rest of the interior items do not look ridiculous next to such an acquisition, but, on the contrary, complement and support the main style.

But if you are not yet ripe for such liberties, then turn your gaze to bed linen with the image of the animal you like, textiles, carpets imitating the skins of predators, decorative pillows and blankets. Just make sure that too many different animals are not gathered in one room, otherwise it will look sloppy and depressing. Better to highlight one shape (or an appropriate print for carpet) and make it the key. And arrange the rest of the space in suitable shades and style.
