Julie-Anne and her husband Ravi have a large, strong and happy family, in which three wonderful boys are growing up: Cooper, Rylan and Harper. The oldest of the guys is 10, the middle one is 8, and the youngest is only 6 years old. Almost adults. And the couple decided that they should have another baby – they didn’t get hired. But they hardly expected that the news that the family would be small would so excite the children. They simply did not find a place for themselves, asking several times a day who would be born. All three, oddly enough, really wanted a girl to be born.

Parents slowly came up with a surprise – how can it be more pleasant to tell the guys whether to wait for a brother or a sister. And then the time came for the decisive screening. But the surprise awaited not the children at all, but the parents: the baby in the belly flatly refused to turn to the sensor as needed. Who will be remains unclear. The parents were confused: they imagined how they would be greeted at home by three pairs of expectant eyes, and they would have nothing to say.

Julie-Ann and Ravi had to go to an ultrasound diagnostic center that specializes in gender determination. It turns out that there are such people in Australia. And there they were finally told: exhale, comrade parents, you have a daughter. The parents exhaled and set to work on the surprise, simple but effective. Its essence was to “stuff” a black opaque ball of confetti. The blue ones are the boy. Pink is a girl. We arrived home, solemnly carrying a ball.
