Prevention of infertility (sterility)
It is difficult to prevent infertility. However, the adoption of a good lifestyle (avoiding excessive consumption of alcohol or coffee, not smoking, not being overweight, practicing reasonable physical activity regularly, etc.) can help improve fertility in men and women and therefore of the couple.
The optimal frequency of intercourse to conceive a child would be between 2 and 3 times per week. Too frequent sexual intercourse could deteriorate the quality of the sperm.
A more moderate consumption of trans fatty acids could also affect fertility. Excessive consumption of these fats increases the risk of infertility in women1.
