Prevent eye problems by working on your computer.
The number of professions in which one cannot do without a computer is constantly growing. But sitting in front of the monitor for a long time is very harmful to your eyes. Modern research shows that nine out of ten people who constantly work at a computer have vision problems of varying complexity.
The most common symptoms are eye strain, excessive tears or, conversely, dry eyes, blurred vision, squint, split vision.
If you observe these signs constantly, then consult a doctor for a normal examination. In most cases, it is enough to wear glasses in front of the monitor, ordinary glasses if you already have vision problems and special glasses if you don’t already have them.
It is also worth looking up from the monitor for about five minutes, every half hour. Get distracted, look somewhere in the distance. This will help relax your eyes.
Adjust the brightness of the monitor to your eyes, make it optimal intensity. The monitor should not be very dim or bright. Adjust the contrast on the monitor so that the text is easy to read.
Make sure that the monitor does not reflect bright light, use curtains, move the computer, but under no circumstances let a lot of light into the room. You can buy a special matte monitor that does not reflect sunlight.
If you have dry eyes, then try, as already mentioned, to rest more often from the monitor, or use special drops – artificial tears. And do not read from the monitor, try to print the material and read from the sheet.
The monitor must be positioned correctly. Approximately forty to seventy centimeters from the eyes. The top line of the monitor should be approximately level with the bridge of the nose.
If a child sits at the computer, then adjust his workplace, for this it is enough to buy a chair with an adjustable height.
Try to abandon old lamp monitors, go to modern flat ones, eyes practically never get tired of them, but general recommendations for long-term work at the computer still need to be followed.
