The kitchen

One in four domestic accidents takes place in the kitchen.

Against burns : Even if most ovens are equipped with cold doors, this is not necessarily the case in your home. To insulate from the heat, stick a protective plate on the glass wall. Other reflexes to adopt: never let the handles of pots and pans protrude. Also unplug the blender, toaster and any other household appliance after use. Your child might be tempted to have fun with it. And put away matches and lighters away from his little hands!

For knives and other sharp objects, put them in a drawer that your child cannot reach.

The bathroom

In the bathtub, it is always good to install a non-slip mat to prevent slipping so quickly arrived.

Against the risk of electrocution, keep any electrical appliance away from a water source (precaution valid for young and old!).

Gather all the gardening products and tools in a locked area. If you have a swimming pools, be aware that it must be equipped with a security system in accordance with French standards. Also regularly check the condition of swings, slides and others outdoor games.

Your child must learn that he cannot pull his ears or pinch him as he sees fit, at the risk of annoying or frightening him and, worse, making him dangerous!
