During pregnancy, your Primary Health Insurance Fund covers:
- All prescribed medical visits and examinations (including post-natal consultation) Know that you benefit from third-party payment (no upfront costs) from the first day from the 6th month of pregnancy and up to 12 days after childbirth.
- Hospital costs during childbirth
- 8 birth preparation sessions
- 10 abdominal rehabilitation sessions (subject to prior agreement with your CPAM)
- Maternity leave, the duration of which varies depending on the number of unborn babies and the number of children in your care
- If you are an employee, you will be able to benefit from daily allowances during your maternity leave, subject to fulfilling the required conditions (duration of registration, working hours, amount of contributions, etc.).
Note:
Ultrasounds are only reimbursed at 70% until the end of your 5th month of pregnancy. They are then reimbursed by health insurance at 100%. Amniocentesis and fetal karyotype, reserved for certain pregnancies presenting a particular risk, are covered 100% (subject to prior agreement with your CPAM).
