One fact: over the past decade, Russian women conducting pregnancy in a hospital ward has increased by 15%.
PhD in Psychology Larisa Rudina (Institute of Psychology, Russian Academy of Sciences), as part of a six-year study at the Moscow Center for Family Planning, tested 400 pregnant women aged 25 to 35 years. All of them were healthy, did not experience severe stress, they had complete and generally prosperous families, good living conditions. Nevertheless, 300 of them ended up in the hospital with complications.
It turned out that there are three psychological factors that affect the course of pregnancy. The first is the nature of relations between relatives. The most dangerous for pregnant women are protracted conflicts and tense relationships with the mother, which can provoke severe complications.
The second risk factor is pessimism, which negatively affects the immunity of the expectant mother. And finally, temperament is important: sedentary women, avoiding intellectual efforts, anxious women are more likely to end up in the hospital than those who move a lot, appreciate the game of the mind, and have a wide range of communication. The conclusions of the psychologist are simple: if you want to experience the happiness of unclouded motherhood, be more optimistic and be able to forgive.
