Today begins a new edition of the gastronomic contest in the Madrid city of Pozuelo de Alarcón with the best tapas to taste in spring.
The bars and restaurants of the town are already heating the stoves to offer visitors their tapas and snacks that will represent them in the twelfth edition of Pozuelo de Tapas.
The variety of the elaborations and the taste for the original, begins to be a benchmark of the gastronomic days, which, as in previous editions of Pozuelo de Tapas, denote the interest and above all the professionalism of the local hospitality industry.
From this morning of April 18 until next Sunday 24 of the same month, the gastronomic reference will offer participants a tapa and a drink for the fixed price of € 3, being able to choose between a wide variety of beers, wines or soft drinks and in the case of sweet tapas, coffee or tea.
There will be 44 hospitality establishments participating in the contest and they are located throughout the entire municipality, including the town area, the station neighborhood and the Avenida de Europa area.
The town council of the town is once again behind the organization of this gastronomic event, and has the sponsorship of the energy distribution company “Madrileña red de Gas”.
Pozuelo de Tapas Voting and Awards
The participating establishments do not represent a defined culinary theme and thus the diversity of their elaborations will make the diners’ decision more complex when deciding on their favorite, as well as the professional jury that will assess the awards for this edition.
This jury will be made up of members of the local corporation and professionals from the hospitality sector, as well as the different associations of the municipality, which will be in charge of deciding the three winning tapas, adjusting to the criteria of preparation, flavor, ingredients and presentation. .
The awards to the 3 winners restaurants are framed within the dissemination action of the municipality, through a special report that will be published in different local media, and as in previous editions, they will be the image of the next edition of “Pozuelo de Tapas”.
A novelty of this edition is the honorary award for restaurants that offer:
- The best “Innovative Cover”.
- The best “Traditional Recipe”.
Regarding popular participation, in the very premises where it is tasted, it is possible to vote for the preferred one through the ballot boxes that have been previously distributed. In addition, participating not only involves trying and enjoying, but it also offers a series of prizes that will be raffled at the end of the gastronomic days.
You can choose to:
- Three prizes for a dinner for two, which will be offered and served by the Dos Tiempos, La Nicoletta and Dosca III restaurants.
- Two tickets to enjoy one of the Mira Theater shows.
- A set of accessories for wines
