Pouring from shadberry: 4 recipes at home

Many people think that the berry is completely tasteless, but this does not affect the velvety taste of homemade liquor. The berry in liquor is fully revealed and, in addition to its beneficial properties, conveys an extraordinary color and excellent taste.

Irga goes well with blackcurrant, and while making liquor, you can experiment and use these two berries together.

Classic liquor from shadberry

Ingredients

  1. Irgi berries – 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 400 g

  3. Vodka – 1 l

  4. Citric acid – 1 tsp

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the berry thoroughly and dry a little.

  2. Pour the prepared berries into a glass container, add granulated sugar, citric acid and pour the alcohol base. Let it brew for 60 days in a dark place at room temperature. Shake the contents of the container every 2-3 days.

  3. After 2 months, the finished liquor from the shadberry must be filtered through a home-made or purchased filter. Pour into glass bottles.

  4. Store the finished product at room temperature in a dark place.

Spicy shadberry liqueur with cherry leaves

Ingredients

  1. Irga – 1 kg

  2. Food alcohol – 1 l

  3. Water – 500 ml

  4. Granulated sugar – 400 g

  5. Cherry leaves – 300 pcs.

  6. Honey – 100 g

  7. Vanilla sugar – 8 g

  8. Lemon – 2 pcs.

  9. Cloves – 4 buds

Method of preparation

  1. Irgi berries and cherry leaves must be washed and slightly dried, and carefully remove the zest from lemons.

  2. In a saucepan with a thick bottom we shift the prepared berries, cherry leaves, lemon zest, water and 200 g of granulated sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer for another 40 minutes over low heat. Let it brew for a day at room temperature.

  3. The next day, we filter the juice through a sieve, and squeeze the berries well. We mix the resulting liquid with the remaining sugar and warm it up a little until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  4. After cooling the berry syrup, add honey, juice of 2 lemons and mix thoroughly.

  5. Pour the syrup with honey into a glass container, add spices and pour the alcohol base. We let it brew in a dark cool place for 120 days.

  6. After the specified time, we filter the finished liquor from the irgi through a purchased or home-made filter. Pour into glass bottles.

  7. Store the drink in a cool, dark place.

Pouring from shadberry “Double alcohol”

Ingredients

  1. Irga – 1 kg

  2. Food alcohol (95,6%) – 500 ml

  3. Vodka – 500 ml

  4. Honey – 500 ml

  5. Granulated sugar – 200 g

Method of preparation

  1. Thoroughly wash the berries of the irgi, dry a little and beat a little with a blender.

  2. Pour the prepared berries into a glass container and add sugar. Let stand for an hour at room temperature.

  3. As soon as the berry starts juice, add honey and prepared alcohol. We insist 35-40 days in a cool dark place. Once every 2-3 days it is necessary to shake the contents of the container.

  4. After the specified time has elapsed, the liquor must be filtered several times through a purchased or home-made filter. Pour into glass bottles.

  5. Before tasting, let it brew for at least 1-2 months.

  6. Store liquor from irgi in a dark, cool place.

Spicy liquor from shadberry

Ingredients

  1. Irgi berries – 1 kg

  2. Granulated sugar – 500 g

  3. Food alcohol (95,6%) – 1 l

  4. Vodka – 1l

  5. Vanilla pod – 1 pc.

  6. Cardamom – 3 seeds

  7. Dried ginger – 3 cm

Method of preparation

  1. Wash the berry thoroughly and dry a little.

  2. Pour the prepared berries into a glass container, add the vanilla pod, cardamom, ginger and pour over the alcohol base. We let it brew for 20 days in a dark, cool place.

  3. After the specified time, we filter the drink through a sieve and filter through a purchased or home-made filter. Pour into glass bottles.

  4. Before tasting, it is necessary to let it brew for at least 6 months.

  5. Store the finished liquor from the shadberry in a cool dark place.
