Despite the traditional recipe, potatoes with mushrooms can be cooked in completely different ways, sometimes radically changing the taste of the dish. It is difficult to call the dish a dietary one, since potatoes are a fairly high-calorie product, and mushrooms in any form are not too easy to digest. But sometimes it is worth pampering yourself and your household by canceling the annoying diet.

Fried potatoes with mushrooms

There is nothing easier than just frying potatoes with mushrooms, which will require:

  • 0,5 kg of potatoes
  • 50 ml of vegetable oil
  • 1 onions
  • 200 grams of mushrooms
  • salt to taste

Before preparing fried potatoes with mushrooms, rinse them thoroughly. This is especially important for forest mushrooms, which retain soil particles and other debris. For the rest, it doesn’t matter whether store mushrooms or chanterelles are used. And with those, and with others, the dish will turn out to be hearty and tasty.

Cut the onion into half rings, the mushrooms into strips, fry them in vegetable oil until golden brown. Add the pre-cut potatoes to the skillet and fry until tender, stirring occasionally.

When frying, salt potatoes at the end of cooking, otherwise they will not have a crispy crust.

Potatoes with mushrooms in the oven

This recipe may well become a festive one, and it will require:

  • 1 kg of potatoes
  • 2 heads of onions
  • 0,5 kg of mushrooms
  • 300 g sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 100 g grated hard cheese
  • 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil for greasing the mold and frying the mushrooms
  • salt to taste

Rinse the mushrooms, chop them and fry until golden brown with chopped onions. Brush a deep baking dish with vegetable oil, cut the potatoes into sticks and place half on the bottom of the dish. Put mushrooms and onions on top of this layer, and cover them with a second layer of potatoes on top.

Mix the sour cream with salt and a little liquid, then pour the resulting sauce over the potatoes. Preheat the oven and place the potato dish in it for 40 minutes. At a temperature of 180 ° C, all that remains is to sprinkle the dish with grated cheese just before turning off the oven.

Potato stew with mushrooms and meat

This recipe will require:

  • 0,5 kg of potatoes
  • 300 g fillet of meat or chicken
  • 200 grams of mushrooms
  • 2 bulbs
  • 1 carrots
  • 1 pepper
  • 200 g cabbage
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 200 ml broth or water
  • salt and spices to taste

Chop onions, mushrooms and carrots into strips and fry in oil along with chopped meat. It is more convenient to do this in a deep saucepan, then the meat with mushrooms will not need to be transferred after cooking to the pan for further stewing. Add potatoes, then chopped cabbage and bell peppers, then pour the broth over the vegetables and simmer them over low heat until cooked for half an hour.
