Baked potatoes are a great option for garnish with fish or meat. It can also be served with vegetables or as a stand-alone meal, for example, during fasting. Due to the fact that potatoes go well with many other products and aromatic herbs, they can be baked according to different recipes, each time coming up with a new original dish.

Delicious potatoes in sour cream sauce

Ingredients: – 7-8 pcs. medium-sized potatoes; – 1 carrot; – 250 g sour cream; – 150 ml heavy cream; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of olive oil; – allspice peas and salt to taste.

Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin cubes of equal size. Place in a deep refractory dish, oiled with olive oil, and season with salt to taste. Add chopped carrots and allspice peas. Season with a little grated nutmeg if desired, or use dried herbs such as dill, rosemary, thyme. In a separate cup, combine the sour cream and cream until smooth. Pour the resulting sauce over the potatoes and carrots, place the mold in an oven preheated to 200 ° C. Bake the dish for at least 35 minutes. Check the softness of the vegetables and serve.

Potatoes with rosemary and olive oil

Ingredients: – 1 kg of potatoes; – 3 tbsp. tablespoons of olive oil; – 1 tbsp. a spoonful of rosemary leaves; – salt and black pepper to taste.

Peel the potatoes, wash and cut lengthwise into 4 pieces. Place it in a baking bag. Add rosemary, salt and pepper.

For baking, choose medium-starchy potatoes and, if possible, with tubers of the same size

Grasp the end of the bag with your hand and shake it well. Then add olive oil to the potatoes and mix the ingredients again by shaking the bag. Tie the end with baking twine. Place the bag of potatoes in a preheated oven and bake for about 40 minutes at 180 ° C. Carefully remove the finished potatoes and place on a dish. It must be served hot.

Baked potatoes with garlic and caraway seeds

Ingredients: – 1 kg of potatoes with small tubers; – 5 cloves of garlic; – 200 g of butter; – 30 g of parsley; – 1 teaspoon of caraway seeds; – salt and black pepper to taste.

Young potatoes with a thin skin can be baked with the skin after rinsing it well.

Wash the peeled potatoes, cut into thin slices and dry. Chop the garlic and herbs and mix in a separate bowl. Melt the butter and pour half into a deep baking dish, spreading evenly over the bottom. Then line half of the potatoes in an even layer. Season with salt and pepper the potato slices, sprinkle with herbs and caraway seeds. Top with the other half of the potatoes and drizzle with the remaining butter. Cover with a lid or cling foil and place in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 30 minutes. After the allotted time, remove the lid or foil and bake the potatoes for another 20 minutes, until they are covered with a golden crust. Carefully place the tasty cooked potatoes on a platter and serve.
