For baking in foil, choose strong, even potatoes. Tubers that are too old and covered with eyes should not be used.

Potatoes with butter and cheese

Potatoes with hot butter and cheese will be an excellent side dish for boiled or fried meat, sausages or grilled fish. But it can also be served as a separate dish, accompanied by a green salad. Serve the potatoes directly in the foil for a homemade dinner.

You will need: – 6 young medium-sized potatoes; – 3 tablespoons of butter; – 150 g of spicy cheese; – dill and parsley.

Wash the potatoes with a brush, dry them. Wrap each tuber in foil and place on a baking sheet. Bake the potatoes in an oven preheated to 200 ° C for 35–40 minutes. Grate the cheese, rinse the herbs and chop finely.

Carefully unfold the finished tubers without removing the foil completely. Make a deep cruciform cut in the center of each potato and place a lump of butter in it. Then sprinkle the potatoes generously with grated cheese and put them back in the oven for a couple of minutes to melt the cheese.

Transfer the foil-wrapped potatoes to a dish and sprinkle each tuber with finely chopped parsley and dill. Serve hot.
