A young mother, who suffered from stretch marks after childbirth, told how she regained her former shape. And it became even more beautiful than before!
Many of us live like the stars of Instagram. We even ceased to be surprised when another celebrity shows off a toned belly on his blog a couple of weeks after giving birth. We take it for granted and expect our body to repeat the standards of Instagram.
Well-known Australian fitness trainer Revi Jane Schultz was also sure that childbirth would not harm her ideal abs. And then she was in for a big disappointment. Even a month after giving birth, the belly fat did not disappear, and the skin was covered with very noticeable stretch marks.
At the same time, throughout her pregnancy, she regularly went to the gym, squatted with a barbell.
“I was sure that if you are young, healthy and go in for sports, then, like other mothers from Instagram, you will look great after giving birth,” says the fitness trainer. – To say that I was shocked when I saw myself after giving birth would be a big understatement. On the one hand, I was in seventh heaven with happiness because of the birth of a child. On the other hand, I was absolutely devastated by what my body had become.
At the same time, says Revi, the instructions of experienced mothers are now heard everywhere. Say, you need to accept yourself, all women are great …
“Not that they annoy me too much, but all their slogans are definitely not about me,” the young mother admits. – I could not accept my body for a very long time. I think we need to talk about this more often. Not all women immediately get used to what their figures turn into after childbirth. And although I love my child more than anything else, I love my body too.
But Revi did not give up. After a while, she returned to training again and now again boasts an ideal press.
– Now I am very happy with my body and am proud that I was able to put it in order. You just need to give yourself time, – says the young mother. – Everything is achievable, even if you don’t believe in it right now.
Not so long ago, a fitness guru posted three of her photos. Here she is pregnant, now a month after giving birth and one more – already 9 months after the birth of her daughter.
“I didn’t dare to flaunt the intermediate photo for a long time,” Revi admits. – But then I realized that I had to do it in order to support other young mothers. I was very naive, thinking that my body would not change with the birth of a child.
The fitness mom says she would like to return to a time when she was worried about her figure after giving birth.
– I would say to myself: “Roar, crying is normal, it does not make you selfish. Give your body time. You can still love him again. Yes, it’s hard and will be even harder, but it’s really worth it! “
Revi says that she goes in for sports 3-5 times a week, and in the first months after giving birth, she did only 10 minutes a day.
Among Revie’s favorite exercises are burpees (push-ups with jumps), as well as squats and lunges with a kettlebell or with his beloved daughter.
For example, here’s one set: 5 burpees, 10 squats with a ball, and 15 throws with a kettlebell – that’s one circle. In 10 minutes, you need to try to do as many of these circles as possible.
And here is another training scheme: EMOEM. Means that every minute you perform a certain number of repetitions of any movement. Rest the rest of the time. Did you meet 30 seconds? Well done, you have 30 seconds to rest. In this video, the complex is as follows: for one minute we do 10 squats on one leg (for each leg) and ten squats with a jump. The next minute is 10 bench push-ups and five twist push-ups. There are 14 such cycles in total.
