Posterisan is most often used in the case of inflammation of the haemorrhoids in the rectal area. They arise from blood stagnation in the vascular cushions, which become nodular. Posterisan is available on the pharmaceutical market in the form of:

The auxiliary substances of the ointment include lanolin and yellow petrolatum; 
  2. Posterisan vaginal suppositories – 1 suppository contains 387,1 mg of a standardized live culture suspension Escherichia colias well as cellular components and metabolic products from 660 ml of bacteria Escherichia coli – preserved with phenol. The excipients of the drug include solid fat and macrogolglycerol hydroxystearate. 

Posterisan – indications for use

As mentioned, Posterisan is used to minimize the symptoms of inflammation within the hemorrhoids, which means relieving pain and burning. In addition, Posterisan can be used in the case of anal fissures and fissures, as well as eczema.

Posterisan – a method of applying ointments

Posterisan ointment should only be used as directed by your doctor or the information provided in the package leaflet. Most often, the product is used twice a day – in the morning and in the evening – after emptying. Apply a thin layer of ointment to the places that need treatment.

The ointment may stain underwear, so it is recommended to use pads or pads during the treatment.

If the product is used in the anal canal, it is best to do it with an applicator, which is screwed onto the tube and then carefully spread inside.
