Posorutin – action
Posorutin is used to strengthen the capillaries. It is used topically. The active substance is troxerutin, which is a semi-synthetic derivative of rutin. The substance belongs to the group of oxerutins, i.e. derivatives of rutin.
They are characterized by better solubility and easier digestibility than routine. The active substance is responsible for reducing the permeability of the capillary walls and strengthening them. Moreover:
- has anti-edema and anti-exudative properties,
- contributes to the improvement of the flexibility and tension of the venous walls,
- facilitates the flow of blood and lymph,
- is an antioxidant – has an antioxidant effect,
- dissolves well in water and is suitable for use in the form of eye drops.
When administered to the eye, it acts in its anterior segment and diffuses through the cornea.
Posorutin – indications
Posorutin is used when the patient has weak blood vessels in the eye. They may be associated with diabetic retinopathy or subconjunctival bleeding.

Hypersensitivity or allergy to any of the ingredients of the drug is a contraindication to its use.

Posorutin – side effects
In the event that the patient exceeds the recommended dose or takes the drug despite contraindications, side effects associated with the use of Posorutin may occur. These are burning or watery eyes.

Posorutin – dosage
The exact dosage is determined by the doctor after an individual consultation. However, the manufacturer recommends using the preparation 3 times a day, 1 drop directly into the eye.
It should be used for a long time in order to achieve the best possible effects. During instillation, finger contact with the eye should be avoided. The droplets should be applied directly to the conjunctival sac. To do this, you should tilt the lower eyelid and look up.
Posorutin – directions for use
There were no effects on the fetus and food. Therefore, it can be used by women and pregnant and nursing poppies. Posorutin also has no effect on consciousness, so you can drive after using it.
It should be stored at room temperature, out of the reach of children and not exposed to excessive UV radiation.
