Posolskaya

Specialists of the enterprise that produces “Posolskaya” claim that its recipe was created in 1973 according to the principle of “nothing more” – “extra” alcohol and artesian water, no additives, infusions or extracts. But the production technology, patented almost half a century ago, makes the drink special. In accordance with the name: vodka is not for everyone, only for authorized representatives of states, that is, for those who know a lot about the quality of life and good drinks.

Enlightenment Design

The original label with the image of a foreign ambassador, judging by the clothes of the century before last, contains only the information necessary for consumers. Status is underlined by inscriptions directly on the glass.

In addition to the relief inscription POSOLSKAYA on the sides of the bottle with a rectangular bottom, under the label it is written in small convex letters: “The authorized representative of the glorious galaxy of legendary Russian vodkas”, thereby emphasizing that the drink and representatives of foreign powers have much in common. And the back label contains a dictionary definition of the word “ambassador” – a diplomatic representative of the highest rank.

About the manufacturer

Formed in 1901 from the “state wine warehouse No. 1”, the Moscow plant “Kristall” initially produced only traditional vodka with infusions of medicinal herbs. The famous “Rykovka”, named after the first Soviet Minister of Economics, and “Stolichnaya”, which became the hallmark of the plant and Russian vodka in general, were produced here.

The state enterprise in 1993 became a joint-stock company, and in 1999 it became part of the Kristall Lefortovo group of companies. Today it is an active and successful participant in the Russian alcohol market, the fifth largest producer of vodka and alcoholic beverages, whose drinks in 2017 accounted for 6,8% of the domestic market. The holding has its own distribution company that successfully sells drinks in all 85 regions of Russia. In addition, the products are exported to all CIS countries, to the United States and Europe, as well as to Taiwan.

Patent for unique technology

The plant “Kristall” owns a patent for “milk” cleaning technology:

  • water is filtered through hardness-reducing sulfa coal;
  • add skimmed milk (3 liters per thousand gave);
  • from the resulting mixture and alcohol class “extra” create a water-alcohol solution with a strength of 70%;
  • stand for 2 hours and add half a liter of acetic acid for every thousand gave an almost finished product;
  • the mixture is intensively stirred for 15-20 minutes and settled for 2-3 hours;
  • the precipitate formed is removed and the strength of the drink is adjusted to 56% by adding water prepared in the same way;
  • again intensively stirred for 15-20 minutes and allowed to settle for 1,5-2 hours;
  • then filtered three times – first through a membrane filter, then through a carbon battery and again through a membrane filter.

And only then the vodka is bottled.

Tasting notes

Posolskaya vodka (40%) is an absolutely transparent drink with a light vodka flavor. Soft velvety taste without shades. Drinks easily, does not burn, leaves no aftertaste. Serve chilled up to +8-10 °C. Bartenders use it in cocktails – due to its neutral organoleptic properties, vodka enhances the aroma and taste of the ingredients without adding third-party shades. Restaurateurs recommend serving “Posolskaya” with traditional Russian snacks, which are usually used to welcome welcome guests: black caviar, pancakes with red caviar, red fish, veal and other meat cooked over an open fire.
