Porridge arnautka: recipe

Arnautka is a wheat groats named after a variety of hard spring wheat with a glassy grain. The nutritional composition of Arnautka is very rich; wheat groats contain phosphorus, iron, silver, beta-carotene, PP and B vitamins, as well as protein, carbohydrates and vegetable fats.

Porridge arnautka: recipe

To cook an arnautka in water, you need to take the following ingredients:

  • 2 cups of cereal
  • 4 cup water
  • 1 teaspoon salt

To cook a viscous porridge according to this recipe, you need to take 1 glasses of water for 5 glass of arnautka

First of all, rinse the arnautka first in warm and then in hot boiled water. Boil water in a saucepan, add salt and add arnautka.

Cook the porridge, stirring continuously, for 15–20 minutes. When the porridge thickens, remove the pan from the heat, close the lid and set for 40-50 minutes to simmer.

To the table, crumbly porridge from arnautka can be served as a side dish for meat or fish, as well as as an independent dish, seasoned with butter or condensed milk.

You can also cook arnautka in milk.

This will require:

  • 1 glass of arnautka
  • 3 cup of milk
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • salt

Pour the washed arnautka into boiling salted milk and, stirring constantly, cook the porridge for 20 minutes until thickened. Then remove the pan from the heat, cover tightly and place in the oven for half a piece. Put butter in the finished porridge and stir well.

How to make arnautka with prune and pumpkin additives

To prepare an arnautka with prunes, you will need the following products:

  • 1 glass of arnautka
  • 4 cup water
  • ½ cup pitted prunes
  • 50 grams of butter
  • sugar
  • salt

Rinse the prunes well, cover with 3 cups of hot water and cook for 15 minutes. Then strain the broth of prunes through a gauze filter, add the remaining water, sugar, salt, add cereal and cook, stirring the wheat porridge.

When serving, put the cooked arnautka on a dish, place prunes in the form of petals around the porridge. Decorate with sprigs of mint to make a stalk for a “flower” of wheat porridge and prunes.

You can cook an arnautka with a pumpkin.

For this you need to take:

  • 1,5 cups arnautka
  • 3 cup water
  • 750 grams of pumpkin
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2-3 tablespoons of butter

Peel fresh pumpkin from skin and seeds, chop finely, put in a saucepan, pour 3 glasses of water and cook for 10-15 minutes. Then add the washed arnautka, add salt and, stirring occasionally, cook for another 15–20 minutes.

Cover the thickened porridge with a lid and put in the oven for 25-30 minutes to simmer. Put butter in the prepared porridge, stir and serve the arnautka with pumpkin to the table.
