Chinese style pork in sweet and sour sauce enjoys world popularity.

Pork in sweet and sour sauce

The Chinese version of cooking pork in sweet and sour sauce will not leave indifferent real gourmets. For this dish you will need the following products: – 500 g of pork; – 1 tablespoon flour; – 1 tablespoon of starch; – 0,5 cups of soy sauce; – 1 carrot; – 1 bell pepper; – 150 g fresh pineapples; – 2,5 tablespoons of sugar; – 2,5 tablespoons of vinegar; – 4 tablespoons of tomato paste.

Cut the pork meat into thin strips and place them in a saucepan. Mix soy sauce with flour and starch, pour this mixture over the pork. Put the saucepan on low heat for ten minutes.

Cut the carrots and bell peppers into strips, cut the pineapples into cubes. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet and fry carrots, peppers and pineapples in it. When the ingredients are browned, use a slotted spoon to transfer them to a bowl.

Put the meat in the pan with the remaining oil on it and fry it until crisp. Then add toasted vegetables and pineapples to it.

Stir the vinegar, tomato paste and sugar until smooth. Pour the resulting sauce over the meat and simmer for 10 minutes. Then turn off the heat, hold the dish covered for five minutes and serve with boiled rice or rice noodles.

Pork will be more flavorful if lightly sprinkled with toasted sesame seeds

The Chinese style pork prepared according to this recipe has a pungent taste and pleasant aroma. For this dish you will need: – 1 leek; – 3 egg whites; – 1 teaspoon of starch; – 1,5 tablespoons of soy sauce; – 100 g of peanuts; – 3 cloves of garlic; – 500 g of pork; – 1 eggplant; – 1 bunch of green onions; – 1 glass of vegetable oil; – salt to taste.

Dissolve the starch in two tablespoons of cold water, add whipped egg whites, salt and a teaspoon of soy sauce. Mix the batter well and dip the diced pork and eggplant into it.

Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan, fry meat and eggplant in small portions. Then place them on a dish lined with paper towels to absorb the excess fat.

The best side dish for this dish is boiled white rice or egg noodles.

Chop the leeks into rings and finely chop the garlic. Fry them in the remaining oil for one minute, then add the soy sauce and peanuts, pork and eggplant. Cook for another three minutes, then place on a flat dish and sprinkle with onion feathers, cut diagonally.
