You sit badly at work

The theory of ergonomic body positioning during work can make you dizzy. However, it is important to follow some basic tips that can help you maintain a healthy work environment.

The top of the monitor should be at eye level, the hands and forearms should be supported, and the feet should be flat on the floor. It is worth taking care of the ergonomics of the equipment, i.e. the keyboard and mouse, so as not to get caught carpal tunnel syndrome.

The most important thing, however, is to get up from your station on a regular basis. Every now and then it is worth getting up and doing a few squats, bends or lunges.

You are running on hard ground

If your resolve was to get back and start moving, running on sidewalks or asphalt is not the best idea. The joints and spine are much more stressed when running on hard surfaces. However, you do not have to give up physical activity – just find a dirt path or, while running in the park, stray from the route and run on the grass.

You drink too much or too little water

Everyone has heard about drinking the right amount of water. If we do not provide the body with the right amount, we will start to suffer from general fatigue, dry mouth, headaches or dry skin.

However, not everyone knows that you can also drink too much fluid. In extreme cases, there is hyponatremia, i.e. low sodium in the blood. Too low concentration of this element in the body leads to vomiting, disturbances of consciousness, convulsions and even death.

The question is also important how much water should you drink and how much is appropriate. There is no simple answer to this question, because fluid intake depends on age, body composition, medical conditions, activities, and ambient temperature. It is a myth to drink two liters a day. The color of your urine can be a good indicator – if it is slightly yellow, you are probably well hydrated. If it’s dark yellow or orange, you’re probably dehydrated. Too light urine may indicate drinking too much water or not providing the body with valuable minerals and vitamins.

Supplements instead of healthy eating

In 2018, Poles spent over PLN 13 billion on supplements and over-the-counter drugs. This is the largest number of all European countries. In an interview with Medonet, Dr.Anna Ukleja warned against entrusting your health to this type of specifics. – The task of dietary supplements is to supplement deficiencies, but they will not replace a proper and rational diet. Taking dietary supplements can have a real impact on our health, if we consult a doctor and carry out appropriate tests when choosing – said Dr. Ukleja.

In the period from October to March in Poland, it is not possible to absorb the right amount of vitamin D, which makes it worth reaching for additional supplementation. It is worth agreeing the daily dose with your doctor.

Starting vitamin D supplementation is possible thanks to numerous dietary supplements available on the market, including vitamin D3 2500 IU Solgar liquid or vitamin D3 665 mg available in capsules.
