One of the most popular diets nowadays is based on the consumption of protein products, with the menu becoming more diverse as you lose weight. Such nutrition allows you not to suffer from hunger and eat as much as each individual needs, without counting calories.

The diet consists of four stages: the first two are aimed at weight loss, the rest are aimed at stabilization, and includes 100 foods.

The first two stages: the short attack stage – 3-10 days, with the help of which weight is quickly lost. There are 72 pure protein products in the diet: meat, fish, eggs, and so on. The second stage is rotation to achieve the correct weight, in the diet – about 30 vegetables. After passing these stages, the stage of consolidation begins. This stage can take up to three months. The last stage is stabilization. You need to follow the rules: every Thursday you need to spend a protein day – the “Attack” menu, every day you need to eat 3 tablespoons of oat bran and walk for at least 20 minutes. – Due to the complete exclusion of carbohydrates and fats from the menu during the attack (they are the energy substrates of our body), the mechanisms for utilizing fat reserves are activated. In addition, the lack of carbohydrates in the diet reduces the concentration of insulin in the blood, which contributes to a decrease in appetite.

Not everyone can withstand this protein attack. In chronic diseases of the liver, kidneys, heart, urolithiasis, excessive protein intake can lead to an exacerbation of the disease. Lack of fiber can lead to constipation and an unhealthy complexion. The fat-free menu in the Ducan diet is dangerous by a decrease in the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, peeling of the skin and menstrual irregularities in women.

I believe this is a successful commercial project, yet another form of low-carb diet.

The popularity of the Ducan diet is explained by its rapid effectiveness, especially at the beginning of its application. The first kilograms are easily lost, but not due to the loss of adipose tissue, but, as with all other diets, due to the loss of fluid. Dukan’s diet is easier to tolerate: protein (cottage cheese, lean meat, eggs) is easily and permanently satiated.

If, during the Ducan diet, you add intense sports, then the chance to save the lost kilograms is large enough. If you follow all the principles of the diet and then move on to a daily balanced diet, then we can say that you have achieved your goal. But most adherents of the Ducan diet do not retain their results for long: there is too much craving for sweets or cannot cope with stress, and a breakdown follows. In addition, it is worthwhile to clearly understand all the dangers that this protein diet is fraught with.

The basis of the Atkins diet is to limit the intake of carbohydrates – sweets, starchy vegetables and sweet fruits. Like the Ducan Diet, Atkins divides the process into three phases. The first is a ban on bread, baked goods, any flour products, sugar, sweets, fruits, starchy vegetables, margarine, cooking fats, so-called light oils, alcohol. That is, in fact, all the same proteins remain with a limited addition of healthy fats (nuts, avocados) and vegetables. All in moderation.

The second phase is intermediate. After the body adjusts to the new diet, you can slowly add carbohydrates. The second phase can last up to a year until you reach the required weight.

The third phase is supportive. You can increase the amount of carbohydrates, but you need to be careful that the weight does not begin to return. If at some point you did gain a few extra pounds, you need to go back to the first phase.

– The first kilograms disappear easily, especially if the excess weight was initially large. As with almost any diet, only water is the first to go. It is very difficult to stimulate fat depots to release accumulated fat, it is a long process.

And adhering to such a diet for a long time is problematic for health. If used as a start to a healthy lifestyle forever, then great. If you expect miracles from sitting on Atkins for two weeks and returning to eating buns, there will be no sense.

– A sharp decrease in the consumption of carbohydrates, especially easily digestible ones, leads to a decrease in the production of insulin by the pancreas, because the body does not receive glucose from the outside. And the body rebuilds to a different metabolic pathway – ketone.

Basically, the Atkins diet is a kind of ketogenic diet. Instead of glucose, fatty components go into the “furnace”, which are converted into ketones in the liver. It is they who, entering the brain, create a feeling of extraordinary lightness in a person who eats according to Atkins. The feeling of hunger is dulled, because there is little insulin in the blood, and it is he who is one of the initiators of the feeling of hunger.

Like others, ketogenic diets are dangerous for those with chronic diseases of the digestive, cardiovascular, or urinary systems. The protein load on the liver and kidneys increases significantly, the composition of the intestinal microflora deteriorates, and the productivity of thought processes decreases.

Diet Michael Mosley “5: 2” is based on the principle that five days pass in the usual diet, without limiting and reducing the calorie content of foods, and two days a week are unloading.

But fasting days do not consist of traditional hungry mono-diets on apples or kefir, you just need to cut the daily food intake by four times. That is, it turns out that for two days a woman should eat no more than 500 calories, and a man – 600 kcal.

Fasting days can be any days of the week, they can be broken – for example, you choose Wednesday and Sunday. The result of the diet is to create a stressful situation and force the body to use up old stores of fat.

– On fasting days, due to a sharp decrease in the calorie content of the diet, an energy deficit is created for the body. Mechanisms for finding additional energy sources are included.

These, as you know, are fat depots. It is from the places of deposition of excess adipose tissue that reserves are extracted. Two-day cycles of such unloading nutrition will not negatively affect the body. And almost each of us intuitively used this technique on our own.

For example, the next day after a hearty meal. From a medical point of view, this method is not suitable for people with a large excess of body weight, as well as those suffering from gastritis, gastric ulcer or 12 duodenal ulcer. In the first case, it is ineffective, and in case of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, it is fraught with exacerbations.

For those looking to eliminate a little excess weight in this way, the results can be quite good. But they will be noticeable in six months, not earlier. A similar technique called the “zigzag method” or “fasting days method” has been used in domestic dietetics for more than half a century.

With obesity, such a system of alternating 5-day “food sins” with 2-day “food remorse” will not lead to weight loss.

Diet of Margarita Koroleva “9 days”

This diet consists of three mono-diets, each lasting 3 days. The complex is designed to shake up the body and, according to the author, in a short time allows you to lose 5-10 kilograms.

The first phase is the rice period. The daily diet consists exclusively of rice (choose brown, it contains vitamins and cellulose). After cooking, 250 g of cereal should be divided into 6 parts and eaten during the day, but the last meal is no later than 20:00! Also, during the day, you are allowed to eat 3 teaspoons of natural fresh honey.

Rice cleanses the body of toxins and toxins that accumulate in our body for a long time.

The second phase is protein. During the day, you can eat up to 1200 g of skinless chicken, cooked without salt and spices, or white fish. Important: you cannot mix and eat on the same day, for example, both chicken and fish. Just one thing.

The body receives protein, for the processing of which the body spends more calories than it receives. That is, it spends the stored fat.

The third phase is the vegetable period. During the day, you need to eat 500 g of fresh and the same amount of steamed vegetables without salt and spices.

During each phase, you need to drink at least 2,5 liters of water. During vegetable days, the vitamin and mineral complex is replenished and the volumes are reduced.

Margarita Koroleva recommends using this diet after plentiful holidays or vacations, during which you indulge in a feast for the stomach.

– The author of the technique, Margarita Koroleva, should know about this more precisely and completely. Consistent use of the three well-known mono-diets seems to have some effect.

Rice is likely to have a mild diuretic and dehydrating effect, giving the illusion of lost pounds. Chicken Days is a protein-based diet that lowers insulin levels and reduces hunger.

Vegetables in the third phase, most likely, eliminate the constipation that arose after eating rice and chicken in the previous 6 days.

While following such a diet, weight loss is unlikely to be great. The result is not persistent and very short-lived. However, you will not harm your health.

This cereal is one of the most useful, cleanses the body and has a healing effect on the cardiovascular system. The diet of the system is very simple – the food is built exclusively on buckwheat without spices, oil and salt.

Buckwheat must be cooked in a certain way: rinse the groats and pour boiling water two to one. Wrap the saucepan in a blanket and leave to steam until morning to make the buckwheat crumbly. However, it is quite difficult to sit on such a diet for a long time.

Specialist opinion: what happens to the body while dieting

Despite the fact that buckwheat does contain many vitamins valuable for our body (group B, etc.), eating buckwheat alone for a long time is not recommended.

Indeed, on a buckwheat diet, the body experiences stress from a lack of protein, fat and fat-soluble vitamins. Buckwheat does not contain the calcium, iodine and other essential micro- and macroelements we need.

The Kremlin diet works according to the simplest principle – restricting carbohydrates stimulates the body to consume internal energy reserves in fat cells. In the first two weeks of the diet, the amount of carbohydrates is reduced to 20 g per day, and then slowly introduced into the diet.

The diet is based on a scoring table created by nutritionists, according to which you can calculate the amount of carbohydrates in 100 g of any product. Each product “costs” a certain number of points (according to the table). You can consume no more than 20 points per day.

– I must say that I myself worked for a long time in the system of the Administrative Department of the President of the Russian Federation, communicated with many nutritionists there, but none of them developed this diet, and it was never used in the treatment of high-ranking officials in the Kremlin.

Another commercially attractive name for a low-carb diet. Weight loss occurs due to the mobilization of the body’s reserves with an insufficient supply of glucose from carbohydrates and an excess of protein.

Water leaves the body first, then fat accumulations gradually begin to leave. Insulin is lowered, hunger does not torment much.

You cannot adhere to it for a long time, tk. kidney and gallstones, constipation, and foul odor from the mouth and skin (acetone, a side effect of fat breakdown) may appear.

However, those who love meat manage to achieve good, but very unstable results on the front of the fight against overweight. For persons with a high degree of obesity, it is not recommended to start the Kremlin diet, because there is a direct threat to health.

In all diets where you eat a lot of protein, remember to also drink at least 2 liters of water per day to help the kidneys eliminate waste products from fats.

The Greek diet requires no calculations. The diet includes traditional Greek products – cucumbers, goat cheese and … that’s it! Foods can be eaten in unlimited quantities, but without oil and salt. Cucumbers contain useful vitamins and minerals, and goat cheese contains protein that will help you not to feel hungry.

– Cucumbers have a good diuretic and laxative effect. It is logical that the combination of these qualities will lead to some weight loss. But do not think that you will lose fat mass. The water will go away, and as soon as you stop sticking to the cucumber and cheese diet, you will gain weight again.

Goat cheese is really good for health – high in protein, calcium. However, it can contain a lot of salt, therefore, hypertensive patients and heart patients should not eat a lot of it. And for the inhabitants of Russia, goat cheese is now (due to the sanctions) difficult to obtain and not cheap.

If you do not live in Greece and do not eat like this every day, then short-term food restrictions (albeit using the healthiest foods) will not lead to a lasting result.

While adhering to such a diet, you lose weight a little, you quit – they immediately returned the lost kilograms, or even gained more than that.

Therefore, I urge you once again to give preference to a balanced and clean diet that you can maintain throughout your life.
