Pontedetapas, from the estuary to the mouth

The Galician city of Pontevedra will celebrate during the days November 28 to December 8, the gastronomic contest Pontedetapas.

The initiative was born within the Provincial Association of Hoteliers (ASEHOSPO) and the Provincial Federation of Hoteliers (FEPROHOS), which together with the development department of the city council, promote the local hospitality activity in order to disseminate and spread the best legacy of Pontevedra, such as its gastronomy.

Galician gastronomy in general, and that of the Rías Bajas, in particular, is an endorsement of quality and charm that will surely help to add and achieve the largest influx of public in this its VII edition, surpassing visitors from the last edition.

The model chosen by the organization is a Contest-contest that will measure the creations of the local hospitality industry that registers in the event to participate with their culinary development in Tapa format in any of the following three categories:

  • Creative tapas
  • Traditional tapas
  • Cocktails

Under the umbrella of the celebrations of the activities “Tapas around Galicia ”, Pontedetapas wants to conquer the public with more than 50 participants, and with the richness of its estuaries.

From spider crabs to clams, without neglecting mussels, crabs or rich fish such as turbot or monkfish, they will make us feel the sea on the palate as if it were a festival of flavors and colors.
