Pomegranate tincture for alcohol

Wine is not the main ingredient, but it greatly enhances the taste and aroma of the finished tincture.

It is best to use homemade natural wine.

Ingredients

  1. Pomegranate – 4 pc.

  2. Alcohol – 1 l

  3. Red wine – 100 ml

  4. Mineral water – 1 l

Method of preparation

  1. It is necessary to extract all the seeds from the pomegranate and then squeeze the juice. To do this, we put the grains on a fine strainer and crush them well with a spoon. Of course, if you have a special device for squeezing pomegranate juice, you can use it.

  2. Now we mix alcohol with mineral water, and then add pomegranate juice and red wine. We leave for 2-3 weeks in a dark, cool place.

  3. After the specified time, the tincture must be passed through the filter and then bottled.

  4. Before tasting, it is advisable to keep the drink for about one week in the refrigerator.

  5. The shelf life should not exceed 2-3 months, then the aroma and taste of the pomegranate will become weaker.

Aromatic pomegranate tincture

Ingredients

  1. Pomegranate – 7 pc.

  2. Vodka – 1 l

  3. Cinnamon stick – 1 pc.

  4. Zest of one large lemon

  5. Sugar syrup – 250-300 ml (optional)

Method of preparation

  1. From the pomegranates, it is necessary to extract all the seeds and squeeze the juice.

  2. Pour boiling water over the lemon and then remove the zest with a fine grater.

  3. Then pomegranate juice, vodka, zest and cinnamon are transferred to a glass container and left for 25 days in a cool place.

  4. After 25 days, the drink is passed through the filter and bottled.

  5. Pomegranate tincture is ready.

  6. If you want to sweeten the drink a little, then boil a simple sugar syrup, cool it to room temperature and mix it with the tincture.

  7. Store the finished drink in a cool place for no more than 2-3 months.
