  3. The easiest way to peel a pomegranate is to do it in a clean bowl full of water. It is necessary to divide the pomegranate into 4 parts, lower it into water and carefully select the grains of the fruit with your fingers.

Recipe for pomegranate syrup with lemon juice

Ingredients

  1. Pomegranate – 4 pc.

  2. Sugars – 800 g

  3. Lemon juice – 2 tbsp l.

  1. The cleaned grains are washed with water to check for the presence of films. After water procedures, they are dried in a colander.

  2. Then the grains are covered with sugar and everything is well mixed. In order for the pomegranate to begin to give juice, they go through the grains with a crush.

  3. A bowl of candied fruit is sent to the cold for 10 to 12 hours. You can extend this time up to 20 hours.

  4. After keeping the pomegranate juice with sugar for a set time, the mass is filtered. To make the most of the juice, the grains are squeezed through a gauze bag.

  5. The syrup is put on medium heat and boiled for 20 minutes, stirring constantly. 2 minutes before readiness, add 2 tablespoons of freshly squeezed lemon juice to the liquid.

Method of preparation

  1. Pure grains of five pomegranates are placed in a bowl of a chopper blender and poured with 100 milliliters of water.

  2. After 2 minutes of operation of the unit, the grains turn into pomegranate juice with seeds. It is filtered through a sieve lined with cloth and poured into a small saucepan.

  3. Instead of sugar, powder is used in this recipe. The amount of powdered sugar and pomegranate juice is taken from a ratio of 1:1.

  4. “Grenadine” is boiled until thickened for half an hour on minimal heat. To acidify the finished product and provide it with better preservation, a minute before it is ready, add ½ teaspoon of citric acid to the syrup.
