What is it really like with the awareness of breast cancer in Poland? – Unfortunately, our campaign celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, but overall breast cancer campaigns have been going on for 20 years. While October is the month that activates this topic, for the rest of the months it looks average – admits in the program “Onet Rano.” Patrycja Sawicka-Sikora, press spokeswoman for the educational campaign “I touch I win”, which aims to promote breast health through regular self-examination and wearing a well-chosen bra.
– When it comes to self-examination, we know that despite so many years of activities in Poland it is very bad – says the guest of TvoiLokona. – In the most optimistic survey, 16 percent women performs breast self-examination. The same study showed that a quarter do not know how to do it at all.
