Pole Dance direction – “pole dance”, or “pole dance” – appeared relatively recently, but has already acquired the character of an epidemic. After all, it is not only fiery and beautiful, but also sexy and luxurious. Woman’s Day invites you to meet Pole Dance trainers who will help you test what your body is capable of.

Pole Dance is a dance direction that combines dance movements and acrobatic elements on and around the pole. From the outside, it seems that dancing is easy, but Pole Dance coaches assure that it will be difficult at first: you need a lot of stamina, a flexible body, the ability to make movements beautifully and dexterously. You also need to stretch well, be able to work with weights, and have strong muscles at the top and bottom of the body. All this is necessary in order to dance beautifully on the pole. Yes, and most importantly – you need a great desire and a little patience. Woman’s Day invites you to meet Pole Dance coaches, choose the best one in your opinion and go to his classes!

In the meantime, let’s see what the pole dance leads to, and what you can do on the pole when you master this dance.

Anastasia Stepanova, Pole Sport coach, AuRoom dance and acrobatics school

Age 25 years

My first dance … perhaps it all started with children’s New Year’s parties.

Career: all my adult life I loved to dance. True, playing football turned out much better than dancing, which my relatives subtly hinted to me many times. As a result, the love of dancing was replaced by more sporting hobbies. Many years later, after graduating from the university, I began to look for a new direction for myself, namely dance. The first thing that caught my eye when I looked through proposals for dance directions was Pole Dance. The very first training session delighted me. I discovered new possibilities of my body, and each time I wanted to do more, more difficult, to do in a way that others will not do. So slowly but surely Pole Dance turned into Pole Sport. Few people know that such a direction as Pole Dance has a lot of branches: Pole Sport (power tricks, acrobatics), Pole Art (twists, artistry), Pole Exotic (stands, plastic), Pole Workout (male direction) – and each chooses what is closer to him. I did a great job with power tricks, breakdowns are mine! With each new trick you get such a portion of adrenaline and emotions that it will take your breath away. After a couple of years of hard training, I had the opportunity to try myself as a coach. And so it started! Currently, in addition to the standard women’s groups, two completely new directions for Penza have been opened – these are Pole Sport (juniors from 11 to 16 years old), and the pride of our school Pole Workout (men’s group). We managed to assemble an excellent team of like-minded people, with whom it is a pleasure to bring our plans to life, for which we are very grateful to them – this is a team of not only coaches, but also practitioners. Among the latest achievements is a performance at a reporting concert in Samara, where our performances were appreciated by the Samara audience, and of course I cannot fail to note how our men won women’s hearts. The plans are grandiose. We took our training outside the school walls. They gave people the opportunity not only to train and improve their shape, but also to realize themselves creatively.

Dance for me Is the embodiment of the soul. Everything that your soul is screaming about is embodied in a dance.

Advice for beginner dancers: don’t be afraid to start! Physical data is not needed here – it works for everyone. It doesn’t matter what your weight, height, age – there would be a desire! I often hear from beginners “I won’t succeed” – if I succeed, then you will succeed. We do not fully know what our body is capable of – discover yours.

How dancing helps you in life: for me dancing is a psychological relief, such a “bath” for the soul, although it all started as an excellent alternative to a boring gym.
