HealthPassport – Could you first explain to us exactly what Polarity is ?

Michelle Guay – Polarity is an energetic and holistic approach which aims to harmonize the vital energy in the human organism. It is mainly based on the concepts of Ayurvedic medicine and notions of quantum physics. It was developed by Randolph Stone in 1945. It helps activate the process of well-being and self-healing through the harmonization of vital energy and is part of complementary and holistic approaches to health care. Polarity can be the object of an exclusive practice or be used in complementarity with the various physical or psychological health care.In any case, the Polarity does not replace a medical expertise and a medical intervention, because it cannot, of all ways, serve to establish a medical diagnosis.

Polarity is a very helpful approach when we are experiencing difficulties related to stress, pain and the consequences that result from it. It includes by its global approach several elements related to the hygiene of life and the psycho-emotional and mental dimension. Let us take as examples, energy and breathing exercises, a section on healthy and living food, the importance of the mental attitude and the dimension of Love.

 

HealthPassport – How does a Polarity session take place?

Michelle Guay – There are two ways to practice Polarity:

  • Receive a Polarity session:

The Polarity session is generally done clothed, in a lying position, in a calm and clean place. It happens that the client’s position is seated or half-seated according to his particular need. When he deems it useful, the therapist teaches Autopolarity movements, energetic and respiratory exercises. The practice of these exercises then helps to support the work done during the session with the therapist and accelerates the return to well-being. The energy of the person is put back into circulation with gentle touches on the body, following the networks of energy. While being well centered with the Great Life, in any case the speaker does not give his energy. The therapist is a place of passage of the energy of the person in order to restart the energy of the client. This one works with three essential elements: Health, Harmony and Life.

  • Using Autopolarity

Autopolarity is a component that I have developed over the years. It is a technique that is within everyone’s reach and that is easy to use. The practice of Autopolarity can be done anywhere, at home, at school or at work. The interest of practicing it lies in its immediacy and its effectiveness, its ease of application, its free and the autonomy that it provides. The only instruments needed are your two hands. The only condition is to decide to execute the proposed movements and to let the work be done.

The technique is simple: place your hands or fingers in the places previously indicated by the therapist. There is nothing to visualize, to induce, just to listen to what is going on. The movements are done continuously in the order presented.

Michelle Guay – The use of Polarity and Autopolarity is very broad.

On the physical, mental and emotional levels, the immediate benefits are relaxation and a great sense of peace.
