Pokrovsky marshmallow: a treat at home
Marshmallow is an airy delicacy with a very delicate taste. It can also be prepared at home. One of the simplest recipes is “pokrovski marshmallow”.
Pokrovsky marshmallow recipe
Prepare the following ingredients:
– 1 kg of sugar
– 2 glasses of water
– 25 g of gelatin
– 20 g vinegar essence
– vanillin to taste
– 2-3 teaspoons of wine

Pour granulated sugar with water, put it on medium heat and cook until tender. To determine readiness, dip a spoonful of syrup in a saucer of cold water, try to roll a ball out of it. If it works, the syrup is ready. Soak gelatin in cold water and let it swell. Then place the dishes with gelatin in a bowl of hot water for 15 minutes. Place the saucepan with the prepared syrup in cold water. Pour vinegar essence into the syrup, add a little vanillin, wine, beat the resulting mass.
While whisking, pour the dissolved gelatin into the mixture. The mass should become white and fluffy. Fill it up with a spoon, and if the mixture sticks on it, you don’t need to beat it anymore. Place it in a parchment bag and squeeze it in portions onto a greased sheet. When the mass dries up, the treat is ready.
The marshmallow prepared according to the recipes of home cooking is not only tasty, but also healthy. Gelatin, which is part of the product, improves the condition of nails and hair, makes joints more elastic and mobile. Marshmallows covered in chocolate or sprinkled with coconut can be harmful to people who are allergic to these foods.
