Pneumonia is very common, and has many faces. On the one hand, we can expect an uncomplicated cure in the majority of cases (with medical treatment), but on the other hand pneumonia is one of the most frequent causes of death.

Indeed, it happens, but very rarely, that a young and healthy person dies of sudden pneumonia. A few exceptional cases of young people who died as a result of viral pneumonia (influenza) thus attracted some attention from the media. But most of the people who die from pneumonia fall into the risk groups instead.

If you have symptoms of pneumonia, it is best to see a doctor promptly for proper diagnosis and treatment.
