Dishwashers for 4 sets are one of the smallest dishwashers in the family. These compact devices are not very popular among our consumers – their capabilities are too small. Let’s see what is on the market and what brands offer miniature appliances.
Why do we need small dishwashers?
In a dishwasher designed for 4 sets of dishes, you can’t wash a lot. It is problematic to place not only large, but also medium-sized dishes in her chamber. If you buy a device with this or a smaller load, pots, pans, baking sheets and other large utensils will have to be washed by hand.
Advantages:
- Mobility. The small machine is easy to transport – it weighs little and does not take up much space. You can, for example, take it with you to the country in the summer. Also, this model is suitable for those who often move, or owners of apartments for rent – it is expensive to buy large and expensive equipment, and any, even a small dishwasher, will already be an advantage when renting out housing.
- Compactness. Suitable for small kitchen. Takes up minimal space. It can be put on the table, pushed into the closet, built under the shelf.
Most consumers save on washing dishes, preferring to turn on the PMP once a day. Therefore, you have to wash cups and plates along with pans. Before you buy a small dishwasher, you need to evaluate your needs and compare them with the capabilities of the device.
The main difference and advantage of PMM for 2 or 4 sets is a small height. On average, it is 45 cm.
Many users of large dishwashers are dissatisfied with the quality of washing difficult dirt – they often have to wash pans and baking sheets by hand. If you still have to wash large utensils with your hands, you can get by with less capacious equipment. On the other hand, having a mini-dishwasher, large dishes will definitely have to be washed by hand, as they simply will not fit in the washing chamber.
Mini-PMM is bought with a limited kitchen area and minor needs. Such a machine is suitable for serving 1-2 people, no more.
Overview of the smallest PMM
More recently, about a dozen models of mini-dishwashers for 4 people were presented on the market. They were produced by different brands – Electrolux, Siemens, Zanussi, Elenberg, Bosch and others. Among them were both built-in and desktop appliances. Today, only the Chinese brand Midea offers a miniature version of the PMM on the market. True, they are even smaller than 4-set devices that have been discontinued – they can hold half as many dishes.
Desktop machines for 2 sets are clearly not designed for washing large utensils. These devices are suitable for people who do not cook. You can’t wash pans, pans and baking sheets in them – miniature machines are designed for washing plates, cutlery, saucers and other utensils.

Conclusions
Summing up:
- If you expect to buy a small PMM, you will have to choose between devices for 2 or 6 sets – 4 is not on sale today.
- The cost of miniature dishwashers is comparable to narrow and full-sized counterparts that can wash 10–12 sets at a time. With such a pricing policy, it is likely that PMM for 2 sets will be just as unclaimed as models with twice as much loading.
Small PMM, having limited capabilities, are not cheap. But the consumer pays not only for saving space – mini-cars are mobile and do not depend on running water.
