Description of Pleven grape varieties
Modern breeders are working to develop new varieties of the Pleven variety and improve its qualities. Currently, the following varieties of this grape exist:
- “Pleven Stable” is an early ripening, disease-resistant grape. Differs in its unpretentiousness and undemanding care.
- Pleven Eurostandard is a fast-growing, high-yielding species. The berries are large, conical in shape, weighing from 8 to 11 g. The bushes should be covered for the winter. When growing, it is required to trim shoots by 7-10 eyes.
- “Pleven Muscat” is a relatively young hybrid form of grapes. The sugar content in berries is 22%. Fruits are oval with delicate amber color. Frost resistance is high, the vine can withstand temperatures as low as –23 ° C.
“Pleven” is a rather unpretentious berry crop and does not require special treatment. Care measures include: abundant watering, timely feeding and pruning of shoots. Treatment from pests with special preparations will help to avoid damage to the crop. Great for aspiring vineyard owners. Growing it will help them gain experience for breeding more capricious and demanding varieties.
